Peter & Marissa

Congratulations Peter & Marissa!

This past Saturday I was privileged to spend the day capturing Peter & Marissa's Wedding Day. Their ceremony was at Our Lady of the Sierra in Oakhurst, CA. The Church was bright and open with huge windows that framed the beauty of the mountains. Once Peter & Marissa were pronounced man and wife we headed to the Sierra Meadows Country Club. Along the road to the Country club there were beautiful mountain fields that glowed in the afternoon sun. I asked Marissa if she'd be good with the trek into the field and she gave me the o.k. So in wedding shoes and all she and the rest of the bridal party allowed me to capture some beautiful images.

There are many more but for now here is a little peek into their beautiful day.

Hume Lake

This past weekend we headed up to Hume for some dedicated family time. No house work, yard work, photo work... NO WORK just play, eat and sleep. As is customary, when in Hume, we walked around the lake. I think it is about 2 miles. And since our kids are big enough to walk and explore we decided to let them go free.
My Joshua is such a great dad and he really shines in these situations. If it was up to me I'd walk as fast as I could for the exercise but, Joshua stops to take it all in. He turns over rocks to look for bugs to show the kids, he talks to them about how the lake was made, sees a solitary lady bugs on a leaf, gives the kids a shoulder ride when they get tired out all with a smile. I love him! O, and lets me carry my camera and take pictures the whole time.
The images above a a few of my favorites...they are all my favorites. Since I wanted to share them all I put up a little sideshow to share.
When we returned home we had a few hours to get the house back to normal and to spend time together before Joshua headed down south for work. He is going to be gone all week and I miss him so much.

mr. "T"

Happy Birthday "T"!

This little peek turned into a big share. I just couldn't decide what to share and what to keep to myself, until the rest are finished. Considering it's mr. "T's" birthday tomorrow I thought I'd just share all from my fist look at the session.

I hope your weekend is full of fun! enjoy!

A & A

These darlings are near and dear to me, they are my niece and nephew. They live just a few houses down the street from us. We see each other so much that when we don't see each other for a day or so it's weird. Their family is such a blessing to us, I am glad that we get to be neighbors. I haven't taken pictures of them since easter so my sis asked me to do a mini session in their yard.

books, food & movies

While on vacation (photos to come eventually) I got to read a book. I read Syrup by Max Berry. This is a great book full of anticipation and humor. I finished it in about 2 1/2 days because I couldn't put it down.

Now I am reading The Zen of Fish. Joshua finished reading it while we were on Vacation and since I finished my book so quick I deiced to give it a try. I like sushi so that interested me but, I wasn't really interested in reading the book. Again, I LOVE the book! And even though I haven't finished it in under 3 days, it has kept my interest and I am enjoying the read.

I have been craving sushi since I began reading the book so last night on our date night we went to try out a newer Japanese sushi restaurant. My sushi craving was satisfied.

Also for our date night we went to see a seek peak of Hancock. I did not have high expectations for this movie, it just didn't look great. Now that I have seen it I can say it was creative and entertaining movie but, not amazing. We also decided to see Wanted. Both movies were about 1.5 hours long and since we wanted to see them we made it a late night. And yes we paid for the second movie :) I knew nothing about this movie, which is the way I like it, and I thought is was great, definatly a must see.

Have a great day!
