A bit of Kelley
My relationship with photography began at a young age. I just had a little point and shoot camera, but I LOVED it. I can remember taking it with me to school and on field trips. Amazingly, I still have it. Through junior high and high school it tagged along with me just about everywhere. My senior year in high school was a pivotal point in my relationship with photography. I found a love for the dark room and black and white prints. My little point and shoot had to share me with my new found love for the 35mm manual camera. I was HOOKED.
I did not know that the passion I had for photography ran in the family. My mom and her father were both hobby photographers. Many years later my mom began her photography business and I was able to shadow her on sessions. Through these opportunities my dream came alive again and I began my journey as a professional photographer.
As in all relationships, my relationship with photography is continually growing. I am learning about myself, evolving in my art, accepting new adventures, and growing in the process.
Kelley’s style
I am casual, passionate, and energetic and it is evident in my work. I strive to create images that are authentic and tell a story of the moment. I enjoy capturing what I observe in everyday moments; people being real, kids being silly or serious, interaction between families, loving looks and genuine expressions. I want everyone to be relaxed and have fun during the session, because it shows through in the final product.
When shooting, I like to crop in close and shoot at artistic angles. My images are more than snap shots. I aim to make art out of moments, unique as your child and your family.
Before you choose me as your photographer, look through the galleries and get a feeling for my work, talk with me if you have any questions about my style or what to expect. If you enjoy my eye and my images, please contact me for more information.
Kelley’s life
I am blessed beyond all measure for the forgiveness I have in Christ. I am thankful for the transformation of my life through his saving grace. I have been blessed with a husband who knows and loves the Lord in ways that challenge me to know him better. My husband is a giving a patient man who is suited perfectly for me. We have been married for almost ten years this July. In our short time together we have had two children Emily (5) and Jonah (3). I am thankful for the joy they bring to our home and challenges being a mother brings.
My family is my priority. I love photography dearly but, my family is truly my legacy. It is for this reason I have chosen to keep my photography schedule light. I desire to provide my family and clients what they need from me. I choose only to shoot 4-6 sessions a month and 6 weddings a year. I love to talk to my clients but, this can be difficult during normal business hours because I have crazy munchkins making beautiful noise right behind me. If you choose me as your photographer I will give you a 100%. I will call you back within 24 hours. I will return your emails within 24 hours.
I hope that you will choose to join me on my journey.
Blessings,
Kelley
