Yesterday I had the privileged to spend the afternoon photographing Jeff and Shari on their wedding day. Sharilyn Friesen was ready to marry Jeff Schafer. After all her preparations, and perfect details her day was planned perfectly and went off with out a hitch. They were married in the “secret garden” at Wolf Lakes Park in Sanger, Ca.

I think about once a week for the past 5 months someone around me finds out they are expecting. We are done having babies {I think} so I am excited to share in everyone’s elses joy. Expecting a new babies is one of the most unique times in life. So many changes are anticipated, so many unknowns and soooo much joy.
It is best to photograph newborns with in the first 2 weeks of life. They are the squishiest, sleepiest and the smallest they will ever be. To capture them so small is ideal because as new sleep deprived, hormonal and all the other emotions that can barely be expressed mama it is difficult to remember them at this stage.

I went out with miss Kori this past Sunday, to help her shoot her second day of fall families. Kori and I have a great time working together and we make a great team. Our last family of the day were the ones that enabled us (Kori, really) to shoot at this amazing location. If you missed your chance, I’m sorry. So I am backtracking again to share a few pictures from our trip to Santa Cruz. We spent the weekend hanging out with our friends the Smith’s at their family beach house “The Pendy Pen” and one of the days we spent the morning at the Boardwalk. This was our first trip to the boardwalk with the kids, maybe even together. These images are are a few test shots I was doing for the session I was shooting the following day.
