Our little trip

We took a little spur of the moment family trip to Monterey. We stayed at the Carmel Valley Ranch. This was the view from our room.
After dinner in Carmel, we took the kids to the beach for the first time and we watched the sun set and played in the sand a bit.Jonah wasn't a happy camper. The sand was really cold and he cried as soon as I put him down. Daddy cuddled with him because mommy had pictures to take :)I love my guys!I love my girl too! There are more but, it will have to wait for another day.

That’s what it’s all about…

Every day little things happen and I think, “I should write about that on my blog.” But, as the day goes on I either forget because my memory is atrocious or once I start to write I think, “Why would anyone care about such and such.” I guess that’s what blogging is all about.

Sunday evening, Joshua and I got home from a great weekend away. We left Friday afternoon for LA. Natalie went with us too and we meet Cameron down there. So we had a double date weekend away J. They are the best when we are in LA. Joshua and I don’t have a clue so they take us to the fun spots. Friday we went to old Pasadena. We ate at Cheesecake Factory, went shopping at H&M and Forever 21. That is the best forever 21!!! AMAZING!!!

Saturday Nat and I got our hair and eyebrows done. We were both eyebrow virginsJ. Then we went to Burk Williams Day Spa in Santa Monica. Burk Williams is always wonderful. After a few hours at the spa we meet the guys at Maestros Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. This dinner was truly a treat. I felt super special, knowing it is a Hollywood hot spot, too bad we didn’t get to see anyone.

Sunday we slept in, watched a movie in our room, did a little bit of shopping and came home to see our babies. It is good to spoil your self and get out of town once an a while. I am convinced that weekends without the kidos, is more fun and less expensive than marriage counseling. I love my honey and it is great to enjoy him…us with out life’s stressed. My goal is to go quarterly. Hopefully we can get away again in a few months, we will see.

When we got home we found out that Jonah had been sick since midnight Friday night. Poor baby boy. Grandmas were so nice not to worry us while we were away. He is still feeling under the weather but, I think he is teething and just happens to have the same congestion the rest of us do. We will see.
