The weekend before last 3.10 we did some plant purchasing for our yard. While picking out some veggie seeds we saw these premaid little starter pots. We thought it would be fun for Emily to watch this sunflower grow but, didn't actually think that it would. for 99 cents it was worth a shot. We took it home, put the seeds under the dirt biscuit, gave it some H20 and put it in the window. We watered it every day and Monday 3.19 we saw a sprout poking it's way through the dirt. Tuesday 3.20 we woke up to 2 sprouted plants and a 3rd just coming through. This little Emily activity is so much fun...for me:)

My plan is to make a little picture book for her. Once it is planted outside to take a picture of her next to it to mark it's growth. I think the sunflower will be taller than me and maybe even Joshua. I can't wait to see how big it gets.

This morning I had the great opportunity to hang out with 2 of my girl friends, Mamie and Breanna (who are sis in laws). Mamie lives 45 min away, we meat in High school and until I moved we saw each other on average probably 3 times a week. I have known Breanna since we were little girls and her mom babysat me; we became true friends in High school. Breanna now lives in Oregon, is married to Mamie’s husband brother. How lucky they are to be friends and sisters!

Anyway…

B is in town for a whole week and I was blessed to get to spend a morning with her. Our kids got to meet and play, and us girls got to catch up a bit. It was great! Now, all of you mom’s know how much talking we actually did with 7 kids 3 yrs and under in the midst but, still a BLESSING!
